Contagion is a stand-alone novel set in a modern day warzone environment, two decades after the First Contact civil war between aliens and humanity.

No cure. No immunity. No hope...

The aftershocks of the First Contact civil war are still felt by humans and the aliens alike when the outbreak is discovered.  The virus' origins are unknown; what is known is that a once fatal sickness has mutated into something far worse, a contagion with devastating results.

Humanity's only hope of survival lies in a twelve-year-old boy named Elijah, genetically engineered with both human and alien DNA.  His biology could create a lifesaving vaccine for the remaining humans, and potentially save the infected - but to create a cure from his body would destroy him, a cure that is only theorized with no proof of success.

Lele has been Elijah's babysitter and best friend for years.  When the contagion breaks out, the two find themselves on the run from opposing forces - the infected's ever increasing forces, and the resistance forces hellbent on harvesting Elijah's body, not for a cure, but for a biological weapon they can use to eradicate the infected and the aliens alike.

The contagion threatens to overrun the planet... but who can justify killing an innocent little boy, even if it could save the world?
