Suspended in the sky with intricate, sprawling machinery threaded into airborne earth, the very appearance of the kingdom of Aethelind is a testament to the golden age of industry and technology it exists in. At a glance, the Aethian people seem content and the kingdom seems just; a society built from the ground up on solid morals and a commitment to valour, equality, and justice. 

However, a deep corruption has begun to spread from within the higher classes of society. The impoverished and the foreign are made victims in their very homes, and revolution begins to brew in the darkest corners of the city. Those who are not Aethelind natives - and even some who are - have been deemed "non-human" by the elite. The king of Aethelind works ceaselessly in his attempts to eradicate the "non-humans" of society, and in doing so he calls upon his citizens to aid him in this trial. 

Different people, different places, different parts to play in the clockwork system that Aethelind has relied on for so long to keep its society in operation - nine seemingly unconnected individuals must band together if they wish to save the country they live in and the people they love.

Some will live, others will perish, and all of them will be forever changed.
